Hardware

Screen and input

The touchscreen on the first five generations of i phone is a 9 cm (3.5 in) liquid crystal display with scratch-resistant glas. On iphone 5 screen size was 4 inches. The capacitive touchscreen is designed for a bare finger, or multiple fingers for multi-touch sensing.

The touch and gesture features of the iPhone are based on technology originally developed by FingerWorks.

The iPhone has a minimal hardware user interface, featuring five buttons. The only physical menu button is situated directly below the display, and is called the "Home button"

How to Make a Call on Apple Watch: Its very simple

How to Make a Call on Apple Watch

Using a watch to make calls is no longer a difficult task. The Apple Watch brings all of your contacts to the portable small screen, making it almost as easy to call loved ones on your wrist as it is on your smartphone. There are several easy ways to call loved ones from your Apple Watch -- here's how to do them.

Using Siri

1. First Lift the Apple Watch towards your head.

2. Then you have to Say "Hey Siri, call (person's name)." Alternatively, you can press hold the digital crown to activate Siri.

Calling Your Favorites

1. First Press the side button of apple watch to pull up your favorite contacts. You can set up favorites on your iPhone.

2. You can use the touch screen or the digital crown, scroll through your favorites until you find your desired contact and tap their icon.

3. Tap the phone icon on the bottom left to begin the call.

Make Calls Using the iPhone App

1. Select the green,  Phone app (showing call icon) from your Apple Watch's home screen.

2. After that Select Favorites, Recents or Contacts to pick someone to call. Favorites pulls up the favorite contacts you set on your iPhone, Recents displays recent callers and Contacts allows you to scroll your full list of contacts.

3. Select a contact from your apple watch.

4. Tap the phone icon on the bottom left to make a call.

5. Once you're connected, you can adjust call volume using the slider at the top of the screen, mute yourself with the icon on the bottom right and end the call with the icon on the bottom left.

6. To hand the call off to your iPhone, select the green bar that says "Touch to return to call" at the top of your iPhone's display.

Microsoft Surface 3 review: Pros & Cons

Microsoft Surface 3 review:

Pros: The new Microsoft Surface 3 costs less than the Pro version, but trickles down much of the design and materials of its more expensive sibling. Now this budget model tablet finally runs the full version of Windows. The keyboard cover remains the best way to transform a slate into a laptop.

Cons: Trading down to a low-power processor means this isn't a full-time PC. The clever keyboard case is still sold separately, and costs a lot compared to the base hardware.

Microsoft surface 3 launched at a price of $ 499. The only problem is that I was actually using $630 worth of computer. That's because the Surface line's biggest folly continues well into the series' third generation. Its all-important snap-on keyboard, really the most impressive thing about the Surface, is still sold separately, and at a premium price.

That said, the new Surface 3 has corrected the biggest flaw of Microsoft's entry-level Surface tablet series to date: it finally runs the full version of Windows, not the stripped-down Windows RT operating system (unofficially named after the Windows Runtime architecture that enabled it).

Apple MacBook Air review

Apple MacBook Air

Pros: Thanks to a new generation of processors, the MacBook Air gets improved battery life, while maintaining its now classic thin and light metal exterior.

Cons: Little else has changed over the past few years, while the competition is catching up on design, battery life and usability. The low-res screen feels more dated than ever.

Apple MacBook Air (13-inch, 2015)

Apple recently launched flagship MacBook Air dutifully added the latest generation of Intel processors, and sometimes tweaked the included ports or the type of solid state memory inside, but those changes have felt very minor.

But that doesn't mean we're writing the MacBook Air off. It remains one of the most universally useful laptops you can buy, thanks to a still-slim design, excellent keyboard and touchpad, generally fast performance and great battery life. That the Air is the least-expensive MacBook, starting at $around 999 (£849 or AU$1,099) for the 13-inch model, means it's within reach for many shoppers who might not want to go up to the $1,299 or more being asked for the latest ultraportables from Apple, Samsung and others. (A model with an 11.6-inch screen and otherwise very similar specs is available for even less.)

Samsung Galaxy E7 review: Price and specifications

In a bid to bring the A series' new-found premium design language to the masses, Samsung's E-lineup has managed to maintain the same looks. Lower-grade hardware and entirely plastic build have helped keep the price down, but if you don't look too hard it's still an upmarket smartphone.

Key features:

  • Quad-band 2G, quad-band 3G and multi-band 4G, LTE Cat.4 support for download speeds of up to 150Mbps
  • 5.5-inch 720 x 1,280 pixel Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen
  • Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz on top
  • 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset with quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A53; Adreno 306 GPU
  • 2GB of RAM; 16GB of storage, expandable via microSD up to 64GB
  • 13MP main camera with autofocus and LED flash; video recording up to 1080p@30fps
  • 5MP front camera, video recording up to 1080p@30fps
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot; Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP; NFC (model-dependent)
  • GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS
  • FM radio with RDS and recording
  • 2,950mAh battery capacity

Main disadvantages:

  • 720p stretches pretty thin on 5.5 inches by today's standards
  • No Gorilla Glass protection on the display
  • Battery is not user-replaceable
  • Android 4.4.4 is not the most recent Android version; Lollipop is in the pipeline though

LG G4 Review: Why you should buy or not?

With LG G4, the Korean giant has focused on three key aspects - design, display, and camera, and the last two could as well be the best available on a smartphone at the moment. The 5.5" Quantum IPS has pro-grade color accuracy, while the 16MP f/1.8 camera offers an array of manual controls to take photography to the next level.
In a bid to stay away from the controversial Snapdragon 810 chipset, LG has instead chosen to use the Snapdragon 808. This chipset was announced along with the Snapdragon 810 as its more affordable alternative. Instead of a total of 8 cores, it comes with only 6. The choice of chipset, the only slight curvature and the lack of a self-healing will certainly put under strain the sibling relations as in some respects the recently released LG G Flex2 is even better equipped than the flagship.

  • microUSB v2.0 port with SlimPort 4K support; USB Host
  • 3,000mAh removable battery
