Microsoft Corp. ( and LinkedIn Corporation two big companies on Monday announced they have entered into an agreement under which Microsoft will acquire LinkedIn for $196 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $26.2 billion. LinkedIn the major business oriented social website will retain its distinct brand, culture and independence. All employees will remain in Linkedin, Jeff Weiner will remain CEO of LinkedIn, reporting to Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft.
LinkedIn is the world’s largest business-oriented social networking service founded in december 2002 and launched on May 5 2003.It is the most valuable professional network and continues to build a strong and growing business.
